Decanter Centrifuges is Widely Used in Most Industry

The objectives of post-treatment vary between different industries where in order to perform an efficient and economical process; the decanter centrifuge must be tailored to the task at hand. In the food manufacturing industry, decanter centrifuges are utilised in oil extraction machines. An oil extraction machine can process up to fifteen metric tonnes per hour of organic wastes and are found either within the process plant or outdoors if designed for the climate. The waste material enters the inlet chute and is softened into a sludge which is then steam heated. This mixture then enters a three-phase decanter centrifuge, also known as a tricanter centrifuge. Decanter centrifuge is the last stage equipment in drilling mud system for solids control and mud cleaning. The superiority of decanting centrifuge is embodied in the solids processing size. Decanting centrifuge could remove the solid particles with size 2-7 microns using the principle of centrifugal action, it is an ideal choice for separating particles in drilling mud. Always there is a screw pump or submersible pump to feed the mud to decanter centrifuge.

For unweighted drilling fluids, a centrifuge is often used on the active mud system ot remove as many drilled solids as possible, which helps to control the weight or density of the mud. The effluent containing colloidal solids, such as bentonite and chemical additives, is returned to the active mud solids control system. If it is an expensive drilling fluids, often the hydrocycone unders can be processed with a centrifuge to recover as much of the associated liquid phase as possible while discharging the solids.
